We welcome our new Part 2 graduate from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Anna Mackenzie. Anna’s final masters project was for an interfaith chaplaincy. This involved investigating the translucent and transient qualities of privacy by forming a series of screens to veil and obscure the building was nominated for the prestigious RIAS Rowan Anderson Silver Medal award for best Scottish student. Anna undertook her Part 1 work experience with Helen & Hard Architects in Norway. She also participated in a 4 week volunteer Design & Build project in Malaysian Borneo, learning valuable practical skills. Coming from a Norwegian/Danish and Scottish background, Anna is particularly influenced by Scandinavian design and architecture and also has an interest in social and environmental sustainability.
